MSgt Felipe Bulaclac Salazar

MSgt Felipe Bulaclac Salazar, retired, United States Air Force of Apple Valley, CA went home to the Lord on Monday, May 23rd, 2016. He was born on April 8th, 1945 in Roxas City, the Philippines. He immigrated to the United States by way of Cleveland, OH when he was drafted into military service in 1968.

A Vietnam War Veteran and having retired after 22 years of active duty service as a Parachute Rigger, he was very patriotic and proud to have served his adopted home country. He was an active member of Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church and a stewarded on multiple ministries. His retired years included continuing his love of world travel, cooking, and spending time with his family and closest friends.

He is survived by his ever-loving and faithful wife of 41 years, Virginia G. Salazar (ne Gutierrez) and their two children: daughter, Joy Salazar Seegers (with husband, Steven) and her children; Maggie Rose, Keoni Philipp and Roman of Fort Huachuca, AZ and son: Jorge G. Salazar (and wife, Lisa) also of Apple Valley. Also survived by his sisters and their families: May Salazar Buenviaje, Jean Salazar Partezana, and April Salazar Jardeleza.

Felipe is preceded in death by his parents Martiniano Aguilar Salazar, Sr. and Libertad (ne Baylon) Bulaclac Salazar, and two brothers Teddy B. Salazar and Martiniano Salazar, Jr.

The viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 2nd from 4pm to 8pm, with a Rosary prayer at 6pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Road. A mass will be held at Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church on Friday, June 3rd at 11am immediately following the mass, full Military Burial Honors will take place at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary.
