MSgt Joseph Page

Joseph Lee Page Jr. was born on Nov. 19, 1940, in Wilmington, NC to the late Mr. Joseph Lee Page Sr. and the late Mrs. Minnie Irene Pierce Page. He entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2016 at Mather VA Medical Center, Sacramento, CA.

Joseph graduated Williston Senior High School Class of 1959, Wilmington, NC and further pursued his education by completing various online college courses.

Upon his high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Master Sergeant in Aircrew Life Support, supervising in the maintenance and provisioning of survival equipment. His tours of duty included Dow Air Force Base, Bangor, ME, Seymore Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC, Bien Hoa Air Force Base, South Vietnam, Soesterberg Air Force Base, The Netherlands, Dyess Air Force Base, Abileen, TX, and Mather Air Force Base, Sacramento, CA. He was honorably discharged after 24 years of service.

Joseph accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. For a number of years, he attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church, Sacramento, Ca and served as president of the Usher Board. He joined the Prince Hall Masons and became Grand Master during his tour of duty in the Netherlands.

After his discharge from the Air Force, Joseph was employed at AeroJet Rocketdyne, Sacramento, CA, retiring in the year 2006 with 24 years of service.

Dearly loved and referred to by many of his friends and family as Jr. Page or Joe, he was most often smiling and teasing. He enjoyed cooking, golfing, fishing in his boat and trying out new gadgets, like his recently purchased drone.

One sister, Mrs. Jacqueline P. O’Neal preceded him into eternal life. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Duangtipapon (Ood) Page, six sons, Mr. William T. Page of Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Billy H. Page (Ha) of East Peoria, IL, Mr. Derrick A. Page of Cheyenne, WY, Mr. Joseph Luis of Seattle, WA, Mr. Michael Luis of Sacramento, CA, Mr. Sito Luis of Las Vegas, NV, four daughters, Ms.Joanne D. Page of Philadelphia, PA, Ms. Sabrina Thomas of Rancho Cordova, CA, Mrs. Marvetta (Terrence) Brass of Elk Grove, CA, Mrs. Nga (Loi) Nguyen of Batavia, OH, one sister, Ms. Brenda P. Burns of Raleigh, NC, two brothers-in- law, Sopron Rodpai and Parphan Rodpai of Bangkok, Thailand, one grand aunt, Mrs. Curlia Troy of Leland, NC, five uncles, Mr. Leonzia Johnson, Mr. Roland Johnson and Mr. Willie Page of Nichols, SC, Mr. Alan Page of Mullins, SC and Mr. Don Page of Irvington, NJ, seven aunts, Mrs. Geneva Clark and Mrs. Lillie M. Hughs of Wilmington, NC, Mrs. Virgia Page of Mitchellville, MD, Mrs. Thommasena Floyd and Ms Gloria Page of Nichols, SC, Ms. Margie Lawrence of St. Albans, NY, and Mrs. Nellie Smith of Newark, NJ, twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren, a special cousin, Mrs. Harriett Johnson of Wilmington, NC, nephews, cousins and friends.
