In Memory of

TSgt (Ret) Walter Frank Dunajski Jr.

August 25, 1947 – February 28, 2017

After a short battle with cancer, Walter “Ski” Dunajski passed away February 28, 2017, with his wife, children, and brother by his side.

Walter was born August 25, 1947, in Salem, MA. where he lived across the street from the family dairy farm until joining the Air Force in 1967. After several overseas assignments, he was stationed at the US Air Force Academy as a life support supervisor and survival instructor. He met and married his wife, Peggy, and they eventually relocated to Nellis Air Force Base. Shortly thereafter, “Ski” retired as a 20-year veteran, and remained in Las Vegas to raise their family.

After his service in the military, “Ski” began a successful career in the automotive and motor-home industry. He also found joy in gardening, going to the gym and taking an active role as a fun and loving grandfather.

“Ski” is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Peggy. His loving family, son John Dunajski, daughter Amanda (Dunajski) Madlambayan, son-in-law Jeffrey Madlambayan, grandson Miner Madlambayan, brother Paul Dunajski, and sister -in-law Michelle Dunajski of Marblehead, MA, nieces, and nephew, as well as his extended family and close friends.

He was a unique and witty man, with a personality as big as his stature. The kind of guy you’d never forget once you met him.
