What is the career field like today? Other than the fact that the technicians sew, pack parachutes and maintain new and newer flight equipment, it’s pretty much as you remember it. Oh! One big difference is the egress technicians do all the flight line work on a fighter/bomber base.

Each year, roughly 700 students attend the Air Force’s Arctic Survival School at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.
