CMSgt Authur Madison “Art” Wade
CMSgt Art Wade, age 75, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Art was a native of Gainesville, FL, and graduated from Ocala High School with the class of 1949. He was a faithful member of Venetia Terrace Baptist Church, a former member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Art, a retired Air Force Veteran serving in Korea and Vietnam as a Life Support Manager and Senior Enlisted Advisor, a member of The Air Force Sgt.’s Association and the Life Support Retirees Association whose work ethic and friendship will be cherished by all who were touched by his life.
He is lovingly survived by his son, Michael Wade, 2 daughters, Debra McCormick, Betty Jean Sands, a sister, Ruth Napier, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, former wives Betty Cranford and Sally Patch.
Chief Wade was my boss at Kadena in the early 70s. He was instrumental in my continual service in the AF. What a great man.
Chief Wade was a great Superintendent while stationed at the 5th BW Minot Afb. He was a great inspiration to a new airman fresh out of Tech School. He was caring for his troups and often provided fish fry’s at his house. Blessings and condolences to his family. MSgt Rick Gravely (Ret.)
