MSgt (R) Bob Jungers
The United States Air Force and the nation are mourning the loss of veteran Bob Jungers, who passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2024. Known for his larger-than-life charisma and contagious excitement, Jungers’ sudden departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his comrades, family, and friends.
Born Robert W. Jungers, he served with honor and distinction in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1977. His dedication to duty was an inspiration to many, and his contributions to the Air Force and the nation will never be forgotten.
Jungers was known not just for his service, but also for his infectious enthusiasm for life. He had a unique ability to bring joy to those around him and to form meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. His sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the ranks of the U.S. Air Force and beyond.
His last public appearance was at a Roll Call luncheon just days before his death. He was in high spirits and appeared to be in good health, making his sudden passing all the more shocking. But those who knew him take comfort in the fact that he lived a life full of meaning, companionship, and excitement.
As we say our final goodbyes to Bob Jungers, we remember his unwavering dedication to his country and his remarkable service in the United States Air Force. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, reminding us all of the sacrifices made by our veterans and the importance of honoring their service.
Our thoughts are with Jungers’ family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy of selflessness and positivity continue to inspire those who know him.

Bob,
Will be sorely missed my sister and I several years ago at one of our reunions in Las Vegas. He is a kind, caring friend and loved life , he could bring a smile and laugh to your face in a heartbeat.
God Bless you Bob and I have your family in my Prayers Rest In Peace🙏🙏🙏🙏
I was one of the many who were shocked by hearing of Bob’s passing. We were always having great talks with Bob during our reunions. He will be missed and in our prayers for his family.
A beautiful tribute to an awesome human being. Devastating loss of a great friend and mentor who recruited me to replace him at Fairchild Republic in 1979. Rest in Peace my friend.
He was a character! I worked with him at the 333 TFTS at DM. Where we supported the “Ready Bentwaters” A-10A buildup. A-10 pilots trained and then flew A-10’s to Bentwaters.
Bob had unique personality. I remember he made it big on “penny stocks”. Condolences to family, friends and co-workers.
I loved being a kid on Davis Monthan AFB. Lots of great memories from there with Dad.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. He was such a wonderful man and will be missed. We met him at one of the Ryan reunions and stayed in touch since.
Bob was one of our target shooting buddies at Haltom City Rifle & Pistol Club. He loved shooting bullseye style, standing one-handed open-sight Olympic target pistol matches and shot extremely well, into years that most people are having trouble just getting around. Bob lived his life to the fullest and I have nothing but respect for him. We will miss him…
Thank you all for the kind words. We are all still so shocked over the sudden passing of my hero.
The Jungers family is in our thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻
Barbara and I always enjoyed meeting with Bob during the ALS/AFE reunions in Las Vegas, Bob was someone we throughly looked forward to spending time with and knew he would put a smile 😊 on our face. RIP
He so looked forward to the reunion. Please raise a toast for him.
We definitely will!
