Sad news indeed. On behalf of the AFE career field, please pass our immediate condolences and gratefulness for their service to Chief Yopp’s family.
Regards,
Chief McEnaney
This truly is sad news. I had the honor of meeting and knowing SMSgt Yopp on my first career assignment to Yokota AB, Japan. He was my superintendent at 5AF. I enjoyed our conversations when he would come over to our shop. I will never forget his dark frame glasses though! My condolences to his family and friends. He served his country proudly and I was blessed to witness this.
I enjoyed listening to the informal conversations Chief Yopp and other attendees had during our Annual Aircrew Flight Equipment (Life Support) reunions. Chief Yopp was a humble, thoughtful, and gracious man. My sincere condolences to Sherry and the immediate family.
