MAJ (Ret) ALLAN HOMSTEAD

 Allen Homstead, former HQ TAC Life Support officer passed away on Jan 8th, 2019 at the age of 83.   He was a fighter pilot in Vietnam with over 300 combat sorties in the F-4, 1000 hours aircraft commander in the C-130, and spent 16 years as a crop duster pilot.  Al was also a sports pioneer and started jumping in the late ’50s. While stationed at the Air Force Academy, Al was the Chief Pilot at the National Parachuting Championships and started the jump school.  He was also an aircraft mechanic and avid motorcyclist.  Maj Homstead attended our second and fifth reunions.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Homstead family as they face this sad time.
