SMSgt (Ret) William Earl Farver

August 19, 1949 – July 9, 2019

William Earl Farver, 69, of Waxhaw, passed away on July 9, 2019 at CMC – Pineville.  Bill was born on August 19, 1949 in Harvard, Illinois, son to the late Earl Lloyd Farver and Vira Alice Farver.
Bill received an Associate’s Degree and retired after 22 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force. He later retired from KMart and worked for many years with Cardinal Health.

Bill was married for 47 years to his best friend Cynthia “Cyndi” Joy Farver. They lived in many states and overseas with the Military. Bill enjoyed woodworking, hiking and spending time with his family and going to the mountains. Bill was very family oriented, a great story teller, a jokester, fun to be around, patient with everyone, adventurous, loving and kind. He will always be remembered as a man with a strong faith and a Hero to his family and friends. Bill was a member of Southbrook Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife Cyndi Farver; daughters Karen Stirnitzke and husband Patrick and Jennifer Range and husband Brian; grandchildren Yager Range, Austin Range, Zeke Range and Dana Stirnitzke; siblings Alice Bowdish and husband Ken, Sandee Ostendorf and husband George, Nancy Held and husband Tom, and Lloyd Farver and wife Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM with funeral beginning at 2:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC)  with full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the American Heart Association, give a donation to a National Park or go for a walk in the woods and enjoy nature.
