Herman Geiser
Herman E. Geiser, 72, of Ladson, husband of Rita Hancock Geiser, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Geiser was born December 13, 1948, in Columbus, OH, son of the late Robert and Janet Geiser. He retired from the US Air Force. He also retired from the US Air Force Civil Service working in Fabrication. He was a member of the MOPAR Club and his pride and joy was his 1970 Plymouth Duster. He had the nickname “The Duke” as he walked like John Wayne. He enjoyed bowling with his co-workers. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. He would do anything for anyone. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. Flowers will be accepted. Survivors, including his wife, Rita; are one son and four daughters: Michael Stovall (Delicia) of Moncks Corner, Teresa Geiser (Daniel Clark) of Ladson, Suzy Roscoe of Summerville, Jennifer Rodriguez (Michael) of Bouse, AZ, and Jessica Geiser of Ladson; grandchildren: Joshua Geiser, Shelby Stovall, Andrea Binder (Raymond), Corin Barrientos, Noah Barrientos, Camron Clark, Matthew Geiser, Kyle Roscoe, Ryan Stovall (Autumn) and Mercedes Shawver; great-grandchildren: Abigail Tornero, Sophia Krug and Lilah Shawver; one brother, Danny Geiser (Irene) and one sister, Donna Sexton. Herman was known affectionately as Buddy, Jethro, or Fro to the hundreds of people he worked with. He was a former Parachute Rigger, Survival Equipment Specialist, and AFE Technician and enlisted in the AF in 1968, served 20 years on active duty. After retiring in March 1988 he was hired as a civilian employee at Charleston AFB where he served another 30 years retiring (for the last time) in June of 2018 after more than 50 total years!
