CMSgt (Ret) William Lynn
It is with sorrow that I announce the passing of an original Life Supporter, William Lynn. If you are a frequent reunion attendee, you might recall Bill’s friend Mary Surdyka, whom he always introduced as his supervisor, she passed away last year. Two loving reunion members that we will never see again in this life but will never forget. I’m told Bill had many years of fun at the reunions and that the friendships he made there were all special to him. Below is Bill’s obituary.
William B. Lynn, 100, of Manchester, CT, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Son of the late William C. and Sarah (Lappin) Lynn, William was born on February 23, 1926, in Portadown, Northern Ireland. William often said he lived a great life, had a lot of fun, and loved his family. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. William retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 27 years of service, including World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. William is survived by his loving children, Bernard Lynn and his wife Pamela of Centreville, VA, Theresa Buczynski and her husband Richard of Marlborough, Gerald Lynn and his wife Kathy of Andover, and David Lynn and his wife Annamarie of South Windsor; his 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, whom he loved so much. William was predeceased by his parents, William C. and Sarah; his daughter, Ann Lynn; and also, Catherine Lynn, the mother of his children; his companion later in life, Mary Surdyka; and his siblings, Mary Tamayo, John Lynn, Bridget Marceau and Theresa Hayden.
