The History of The USAF Aircrew Flight Equipment Career Field
When I created this website, I aimed to capture and document everything I could find that would interest the site’s visitors about the people, equipment, and programs in the USAF Flight Equipment career field. I hope you enjoy reading what I have put together.
The history of the career field covers two categories: its beginning and some of the people who made it what it is today. Today, the career field is called Aircrew Flight Equipment, but it wasn’t always called that.
The section covers the history of the career field and the following subjects:
-
-
- How the Program Developed
- An Audio of the Career Field’s Beginning
- Personal Equipment’s Beginning
- The Merger
- AFSC Changes
- A History of Some of the Flight Equipment
- The Survival Schools
