Dallas Eugene Long

Dallas Eugene Long, age 88, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Norma Foster Long; his parents, Lettie and Joseph Long; 4 sisters, Girlyn Felton, Rita Long, Vickie Mintz, Evora Buckles; and 3 brothers, Leroy Long, Floyd Long and Harold Long.

Mr. Long is survived by his sister, Joyce Futrell of Phoenix AZ; his children, Connie Long (Urban) Malagarie, Kathy Long (Darryl) Stolica and Dallas (Julie) Long, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chris Long, Myles (Bailey) Long, Kyle (Jessica) Long; 3 great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was a native of Creswell NC and a longtime resident of Gulfport. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years and traveled the world. He continued his love of serving his country as a federal employee at Keesler Air Force Base for 20 years.
Dallas loved his family above all things. He was affectionately called “the favorite uncle” and he will dearly be missed by all.
His family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Memorial Hospital Gulfport, the Armed Forces Retirement Home and Hospice of Light.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.

He was laid to rest Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Biloxi National Cemetery with honors.
