Master Sergeant William E. Abbott
William E. Abbott, 71, passed away on October 5, 2014. He was born in Vidal, Alabama on October 20, 1942. He married his wife Sukanda, of 40 years, in 1976, whom he met while serving in the Armed Forces in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He served 26 heroic years in the field of Aircrew Life Support, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant.
William was a true family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Sukanda Abbott; 2 sons, Joey and Bennie Abbott; daughter in-law, Michelle Nunn Abbott; 3 sisters, Catherine Delores Abbott Wade, Carolyn Abbott Parnell, and Anita Abbott Knapp; great aunt, Edna Gregory; and dozens of loving nephews and nieces. Bill was laid to rest at the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
